The first trailer has arrived for All’s Fair, promising scandal, drama and whodunnit chaos.

Set to premiere this fall on Hulu (US) and Disney+ (UK), the Ryan Murphy-created legal drama follows a group of female lawyers who leave their male-dominated law firm to open a “powerhouse” practice.

As per the synopsis: “Fierce, brilliant, and emotionally complicated, they navigate high-stakes breakups, scandalous secrets, and shifting allegiances—both in the courtroom and within their own ranks. In a world where money talks and love is a battleground, these women don’t just play the game—they change it.”

All’s Fair is set to bring together an array of stars from the Ryan Murphy TV universe, including Sarah Paulson, Niecy Nash-Betts, Kim Kardashian, and Naomi Watts.

The series is also set to feature Hollywood iconGlenn Close, Teyana Taylor and Matthew Noszka.

In the trailer, Allura Grant (Kardashian), Emerald Greene (Nash-Betts) and Liberty Ronson (Watts) are sitting in a conference room before the former asks their client, Dee Barber (Elizabeth Berkley), to take “a deep breath” and tell them her story.

“It’s been a lot. I’m sorry,” Dee says, resulting in Liberty exclaiming, “No, no. We don’t meet with sorry people.”

As the trailer progresses, the iconic ‘Cell Block Tango’ from Broadway’s Chicago plays in the background while clips of the ladies and their glamorous yet complicated lives flash across the screen.

“He hurt you. Get mad, get hot. Get revenge!” Dina Standish (Close) exclaims.

In addition to teasing the series’ intricate storylines, the trailer promises backstabbing, witty dialogue, stunning outfits, twists, turns, and hot, shirtless men.

While an exact release date for All’s Fair has not been announced, the trailer has generated plenty of buzz on social media.

“This show was quite LITERALLY made for me holy shit,” one person on X/Twitter wrote.

Another viewer commented: “Will subscribe to Disney+ again for this.”

A third pop culture enthusiast tweeted: “I know this is a Ryan Murphy production, so I shouldn’t be surprised, but god, this cast is CAMP.”

American Horror Story season 13 has received a disappointing update.

Back in 2020, FX ordered three additional seasons – 11, 12 and 13 – of Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuck’s popular anthology series.

Since that fateful day, the show’s team have treated fans to two spooky additions to the franchise, American Horror Story: NYC and American Horror Story: Delicate.

However, since the season 12 finale in April 2024, details surrounding season 13, its plot and cast have remained a mystery.

After months of uncertainty and speculation, the chief of Disney TV Studios, Eric Schrier, finally shared an update with Deadline on the forthcoming entry, and it’s certainly bittersweet.

“We don’t have another incarnation of American Horror Story ordered, but it’s a franchise that, by design, can always be rebooted. And so when Ryan has an idea that is great and can figure it out with his schedule of all the things that he’s doing, I could very well see us doing another instalment,” Schrier told the news outlet.

When asked if American Horror Story would continue following the 13th season, Schrier confirmed that there would always be a place for the show as long as Murphy has an idea.

“The way we work with Ryan is different than with other creators, he’s in a select few group of people that, if he has a great idea for another American Horror Story, and that’s something that [FX Networks chairman] John [Landgraf] and the team at FX really want to do, we’re going to figure it out,” he explained.

While American Horror Story season 13 won’t be on our screens anytime soon, Murphy confirmed in October that he wasn’t giving up on the show.

“I haven’t really landed on it yet. There’s a couple things in contention. I did have a wonderful conversation with Sarah Paulson the other day, and she was like, ‘Okay, I think it’s time we get the band back together, so let’s make some calls here,” he told Variety.

“So I’m gonna have dinner with Sarah and Evan Peters in the not too distant future, because they’re both dear to me. I love that show. I’ll never give up on that show.”

That same month, Paulson echoed sentiments similar to Murphy’s during her appearance on Good Morning America.

“I think there is a big chance that I will return to American Horror Story. I’ve got everything crossed. I would like to do it more than anything. It’s my home. It’s where I started,” she said.

“I got to play seven different characters in seven years which, as an actor, is the most exciting, thrilling thing. [It] also allows an audience to be ready for anything you’re going to do because they’re not attached to one thing that you do, specifically. That has given me a lot of career flexibility.”

Paulson continued to reveal that she’s keen to reunite with her “favourite people”, creator Ryan Murphy and co-star Evan Peters: “You can pretty much tell me what time I will be there, and I will be there.”

While we’ll have to wait a bit longer for American Horror Story season 13, fans will have plenty of content to consume from Murphy and company –  including the Charlie Hunnam-led third season of Netflix’s Monster, FX’s American Love Story, The Beauty and All’s Fair.

You can watch all 12 seasons of American Horror Story on Disney+ in the UK and Hulu in the US.

Jessica Lange is going viral with her latest comments on American Horror Story.

On 27 February, the Oscar-winning actress was asked by SPIN 1038 about the upcoming 13th season of the horror anthology series, and whether she will be involved.

“Oh Christ no,” Lange immediately responded. “I haven’t done it since, I mean… I haven’t done it for, you know, more than 10 years, 12 years. So, no, I’m not doing it.”

After a journalist speculated that the new season of American Horror Story might be its last—a claim yet to be confirmed—she asked if that would prompt Lange to make a final appearance. Lange responded firmly, stating that she would not return, even if asked.

The legendary actress was the heart and soul of the first four seasons of the hit FX series, portraying some of its most iconic characters: Constance Langdon in Murder House (2011), Sister Jude in Asylum (2012), Fiona Goode in Coven (2013), and Elsa Mars in Freak Show (2014).

Lange received universal acclaim for her performances and won her second and third Emmy Awards for Murder House and Coven. Following a five-year hiatus, she made her long-awaited return in two episodes of Apocalypse (2019).

While another return for Lange has always seemed unlikely, American Horror Story fans have consistently theorised that a hypothetical final season might bring back all the original cast members, from Lange to Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters.

FX

Unsurprisingly, her comments sparked a strong reaction from fans. “Some of you don’t understand how often she gets asked this question. Ms Lange is tired,” said one X/Twitter user, while another wrote: “Wonder what happened there then to make her not want to do it again. She was amazing.”

A third said: “We lost. She is the best character in the whole series.”

American Horror Story premiered its 12th season in 2023 to positive critical reviews, holding a 77% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, but received a mixed-to-negative reaction from fans.

Details about season 13 are currently limited, though it is expected to air later this year. As we wait for updates on casting, the theme and a premiere date, revisit our ranking of all 12 seasons of American Horror Story here.

Sarah Paulson has teased her long-awaited return to American Horror Story.

The pop icon memorably starred in the first eight seasons of the horror anthology series, for which she received widespread critical acclaim and five Primetime Emmy Award nominations. Paulson was notably absent in seasons nine, 11 and 12.

In a recent interview on Good Morning America, where she promoted her new Hulu thriller Hold Your Breath, Paulson was questioned on a potential comeback.

Since her last season of American Horror Story, subtitled Double Feature, Paulson has received widespread praise for her television work in Impeachment: American Crime Story, The Bear and Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

She also starred in the Broadway play Appropriate, for which she earned her first-ever Tony Award, and the aforementioned Hold Your Breath, which is streaming now on Hulu in the US and Disney Plus in the UK.

The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences are in their queer era (finally!).

On Wednesday (17 July), nominations for the upcoming 76th Primetime Emmy Awards were unveiled, and its absolutely dominated by LGBTQIA+ actors and stories. Seriously, there’s a lot of rainbow rep here.

First of all, ‘Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie’ is stacked with queer talent, with four out of five nominees identifying as part of the LGBTQIA+ community: Matt Bomer (Fellow Travelers), Richard Gadd (Baby Reindeer), Tom Hollander (Feud: Capote vs. The Swans) and Andrew Scott (Ripley). They join Jon Hamm (Fargo), who is repping for the heterosexuals.

In a statement, Bomer highlighted the significance of “two out actors” in a queer love story being nominated, saying it was “profoundly moving to me”.

Baby Reindeer, Richard Gadd’s lauded Netflix series about his experiences with sexual assault, received seven nominations including the aforementioned category and three additional for acting: Tom Goodman-Hill, Jessica Gunning and Nava Mau.

With her nomination, Mau makes history as the first trans actress to be nominated for ‘Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie’.

Following the announcement, Mau told Deadline that she’d been crying for 45 minutes with “overwhelming joy”.

“For trans actors we just don’t get a lot of opportunities to develop our craft, grow as artists, and to be recognized for all that we are and all that we can be,” she shared.

“It has been a priceless experience being a part of this show. Every step of the way, I could feel the way the experience was transforming me, my life, and what feels possible.

“To be recognized by my peers in the Academy is a celebration of that transformation.”

As well as Scott’s performance as the title character in Ripley, which marks his second nomination, the Netflix series has been nominated for ‘Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series’, in addition to three more for directing, writing and Dakota Fanning for Supporting Actress.

While there was significant uproar over Fellow Travelers’ snub in the ‘Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series’ category, Jonathan Bailey earned his first-ever nomination in ‘Supporting Actor’, while creator Ron Nyswaner was recognised for his writing.

Bailey said the nomination “is beyond measure”: “It is not lost on me that this sort of recognition is rare. I’ve grown up savoring the minimal queer television and film on offer whilst battling problematic media and societal criticism of queer life.

“I have loved so many award winning dramatic performances of gay characters but for Matt and I to be nominated together as gay actors feels like the sort of progress that would have made the world an easier place to grow up in.”

“For that I am grateful and so unbelievably proud. Thank you to the TV Academy for this opportunity,” he concluded, before commending the cast and crew of Fellow Travelers.

For its third acclaimed season, Max’s comedy series Hacks landed six nods including ‘Outstanding Comedy Series’ and a third consecutive nomination for Hannah Einbinder in ‘Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series’.

As always, RuPaul’s Drag Race has been nominated for ‘Outstanding Reality Competition Program’, where it faces stiff competition from The Amazing Race, Top Chef, The Voice and – we reckon this will be the one to beat – The Traitors.

Additional queer actors with acting noms are as follows: Ayo Edebiri (The Bear), Jodie Foster (True Detective: Night Country), Holland Taylor (The Morning Show), Lily Gladstone (Under the Bridge) and Bowen Yang (Saturday Night Live).

Over at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards, which features awards for artistic, technical and animated achievements, Prime Video’s instant LGBTQIA+ classic Red, White & Royal Blue has been nominated for ‘Outstanding Television Movie’.

For her role in Prime’s action-comedy series Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Sarah Paulson is up for ‘Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series’.

RuPaul is eyeing her ninth consecutive award for ‘Outstanding Host for a Reality or Competition Program’, where she will face off against Alan Cumming (The Traitors), Kristen Kish (Top Chef), Jeff Probst (Survivor) and the six hosts of Shark Tank.

Baby Reindeer, Feud: Capote vs. The Swans, RuPaul’s Drag Race: Untucked, Hacks, Queer Eye, Ripley, We’re Here and What We Do In The Shadows are among the queer projects that have landed further technical awards, from production design to casting and picture editing.

Check out the nominations (that you need to know about) for the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards, which is set to take place 15 September, below.

Sarah Paulson has named and shamed an actor who ‘outrageously’ criticised her performance in an off-Broadway play.

The Emmy Award-winning actress recently appeared on an episode of the Smartless podcast, hosted by actors Jason Bateman (Arrested Development), Sean Hayes (Will & Grace) and Will Arnett (Bojack Horseman).

During the interview, Paulson reminisced on her stint in the 2013 off-Broadway production of Talley’s Folly, which chronicles the romance between Matt Friedman (Danny Burstein) and Sally Talley (Paulson).

Talley’s Folly, which first premiered in 1979, was written by the late Lanford Wilson and originally starred Judd Hirsch and Trish Hawkins as Matt and Sally.

“I did do a play once. The last time I was on stage, I did a play called Talley’s Folly at the Roundabout, and the actress – and I’m going to say this, and I’m not going to ask you to cut this out, because I don’t f***ing care – this actress came to the play,” said Paulson. “Her name is Trish Hawkins – Hi, Trish! Hi, Trisha!”

According to Paulson, Trish attended the performance, “looked at me up and down and then she went, ‘Your dress is yellow. Mine was pink.’ And I thought, ‘What?’”

Two days after the encounter, Paulson received an email that was “six pages long of notes and a communication to me about what she had done when she had done the play, what she recommended I do”.

The star, who revealed that her mother invited Hawkins because they were in “some kind of writing group together”, described her feedback as “outrageous, it was really outrageous”.

Although Paulson joked that she could “get sued” for her comments, she insisted that she ‘doesn’t care’ and issued the following statement to Hawkins: “Trish Hawkins, I have not forgotten it, and I hope to see you never.”

Earlier this year, Paulson – Emmy and Golden Globe winner – earned her first-ever Tony nomination for her performance as Antoinette ‘Toni’ Lafayette in Broadway’s Appropriate.

Best known for her collaborations with Ryan Murphy – including American Horror Story, American Crime Story and Ratched – Paulson recently earned acclaim for her guest stints in Hulu’s The Bear and Prime Video’s Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

She is set to star in the upcoming psychological horror-thriller Hold Your Breath, premiering on Hulu later this year, alongside Annaleigh Ashford and Ebon Moss-Bachrach.

Barbie star Margot Robbie almost landed a starring role in American Horror Story.

Since its premiere in 2011, Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk’s hit anthology series has ruled the entertainment sphere with its unique set of horror stories, dynamic characters, and hilarious unhinged moments.

However one entry that has remained a favourite among fans is American Horror Story: Asylum, the show’s second season.

The series, which jumps between 1964 and the present day, follows the staff and inmates of the fictional mental institution Briarcliff Manor.

From Sister Jude (Jessica Lange) performing ‘The Name Game’ to Lana Winters (Sarah Paulson) shouting her famous phrase, “Help, the killer is escaping,” Asylum was filled with iconic moments that helped make American Horror Story the pop culture fixture it is today.

However, the season’s main cast almost featured one of Hollywood’s biggest stars.

In a recent interview on the In The Envelope: The Actor’s Podcast, the show’s casting director, Eric Dawson, revealed that Birds of Prey star Robbie auditioned for Asylum.

“Margot has a lot of ‘it’ factors. That’s the tough thing for casting directors who aren’t in the room [anymore] with actors,” he explained.

“Margot is probably one of my favourite auditions of all time, and it was right before she broke out. She was such a star. It was crazy, her star appeal when she walked into the room.”

Dawson then admitted that Robbie failed to land the role because she was out of the show’s “realm of possibility of hiring.”

“Even though she didn’t get that role, that was one of those things as a casting director where you go: ‘This is a star, what do we do with her?'” he said.

“But that’s really the fun part of casting, is seeing the people whose careers are just rising.”

While Robbie didn’t land the part in Asylum, the American Horror Story franchise has gone on to feature an array of superstar talent, including Matt Bomer, Angela Bassett and Kathy Bates.

The upcoming 12th season of AHS, subtitled Delicate, will also include some big Hollywood names.

Based on Danielle Valentine’s upcoming novel Delicate Condition, the story follows Anna Alcott, an actress who longs for a family. After deciding to go through the IVF process to get pregnant, strange and unusual things begin to occur that threaten her dreams of becoming a mother.

Kim Kardashian, Cara Delevingne, Zachary Quinto, Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, Matt Czuchry, Annabelle Dexter-Jones, Odessa A’zion, Debra Monk, and Julie Monk are all set to star alongside series veteran Emma Roberts.

According to the trio of glossy posters, which features Roberts, Delevingne and Kardashian, as well as frightening spider imagery, the season will be split into multiple parts.

American Horror Story star Sarah Paulson has opened up about her heartwarming friendship with Pedro Pascal.

If you’re a fan of The Last of Us, Game of Thrones or The Mandalorian, then chances are you’ve heard of the talented Pascal.

In recent years, the beloved actor has reached new heights of success due to his critically acclaimed performances, loveable personality, and status as the internet’s new “daddy.”

While some pop culture enthusiasts have just started to notice Pascal’s talent, his close friend of three decades, Paulson, has always been privy to his undeniable star power.

In Pascal’s recent cover story for Esquire, the Ratched star opened up about their strong friendship and his early days as an upcoming actor.

“He’s talked about this publicly, but there were times when I would give him my per diem from a job I was working on so that he could have money to feed himself,” she revealed.

At the start of his career, the Narcos actor had only booked a few TV jobs on shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Touched by an Angel and NYPD Blue.

When reflecting on Pascal’s status as one of Hollywood’s “It Boys”, Paulson told the news outlet: “It’s just so psychotic. [Now] everybody wants a piece of him.”

Towards the end of her statement, the Ocean 8 star gave further insight into why the 48-year-old actor has garnered such a strong worldwide fanbase.

“You just want him to succeed. And that, to me, I feel, is the sign of a major movie star. I’m ready for him to take the reins from the guys from romantic comedies past, like Bruce Willis and Mel Gibson and all these guys,” she said.

The rest of 2023 is looking to be a booked and busy year for Pascal due to his various film and TV projects – including the highly anticipated queer Western Strange Way of Life.

The film is set to follow a gunslinger named Silva (Pascal) and his complicated relationship with his childhood friend Jake (Ethan Hawke), who’s also a sheriff.

In a statement, the movie’s director Pedro Almodóvar revealed the following details on the plot: “A man rides a horse across the desert that separates him from Bitter Creek. He comes to visit Sheriff Jake.

“Twenty-five years earlier, both the sheriff and Silva, the rancher who rides out to meet him, worked together as hired gunmen.

“Silva visits him with the excuse of reuniting with his friend from his youth, and they do indeed celebrate their meeting, but the next morning Sheriff Jake tells him that the reason for his trip is not to go down the memory lane of their old friendship…”

Strange Way of Life is set to premiere at Cannes Film Festival 2023, which takes place 16-27 May.

Heartwarming tributes for Leslie Jordan have started to roll in after his shocking death.

On 24 October, the LGBTQ+ icon tragically passed away at the age of 67. According to a report from TMZ, the beloved star suffered a “medical emergency” after crashing his BMW into the side of a building.

In an official statement, Jordan’s agent David Schaul confirmed his death before stating that the world was “definitely a much darker place today” without his “love and light”.

“What he lacked in height he made up for in generosity and greatness as a son, brother, artist, comedian, partner and human being. Knowing that he has left the world at the height of both his professional and personal life is the only solace one can have today.”

Shortly after the heartbreaking news made headlines, fans and an array of Jordan’s industry peers flocked to social media to share emotional tributes for the American Horror Story star.

“My heart is broken. Leslie Jordan was one of the funniest people I ever had the pleasure of working with. Everyone who ever met him, loved him,” said Jordan’s Will and Grace co-star Sean Hayes.

“There will never be anyone like him. A unique talent with an enormous, caring heart. You will be missed, my dear friend.”

Demi Lovato echoed similar sentiments in their own tribute on their Instagram story.

“My sweet Leslie… Your smile and personality lit up the room when I met you. I’m so glad we remained friends after meeting not long ago… I’m so honoured to call you a friend. I love you sweet angel,” the singer wrote.

The Real host Loni Love called Jordan an “inspiration” when reflecting on her time working with him on The Talk.

“Leslie was so much fun to be around, always had a funny story and he inspired me to keep going in an industry that could be ageist… I will miss you my friend… Mama is waiting for you,” she said.

An array of Jordan’s AHS co-stars also remembered the hilarious actor across various tributes.

“I love this picture of Leslie. It’s exactly who he was. The most fun in the makeup trailer with the best stories and the biggest heart. A true joy to work with. Sending love to his people who loved him dearly,” Leslie Grossman wrote on Instagram.

Dylan McDermott added: “We lost a great one today. [Leslie Jordan] was a wonderful friend to me. Leslie and I met on American Horror Story and made each other laugh… He truly was my brother. Love you, Leslie. I will miss you dearly.”

Throughout his illustrious career, Jordan made hundreds of appearances across television, film and theatre and won a Primetime Emmy Award for his legendary performance as Beverley Leslie on Will & Grace.

Alongside his iconic acting catalogue, the 67-year-old was also a social media darling, having gone viral on numerous occasions with his hilarious lockdown commentaries, storytimes and pop culture reactions.

The Emmys returned to Los Angeles for another year on 12 September, celebrating the best of television over the last year.

Some of the biggest names in showbiz were in attendance, from Zendaya to Laverne Cox, RuPaul and Michelle Visage, Lizzo, Murray Bartlett, Jennifer Coolidge and many more.

The stars took to the yellow carpet to commemorate another year of spectacular television.

This year’s awards mark the 74th year of the ceremony.

Stars are nominated across the 17 Emmy categories.

Here’s a roundup of the night’s biggest and best moments, as well as the winners of each award:

Quinta Brunson dealt with Jimmy Kimmel’s awkward stunt during her speech

Abbott Elementary star and showrunner Quinta Brunson picked up her first Emmy for ‘Writing for a Comedy Series’.

But many felt that comedian Jimmy Kimmel’s stunt to pretend to be asleep on the stage took away from Brunson’s win.

The actress had to step around Kimmel to get to the microphone, where her speech was then cut short by the music playing her out.

Murray Bartlett took home Supporting Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie

Murray Bartlett scooped up a best supporting actor award for his work on The White Lotus.

The Australian actor played Armond in the series, where his character has an intense queer sex scene.

Bartlett gave tribute to his partner, Max, and called him his “sanctuary”.

Jennifer Coolidge wins Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie

Legally Blonde icon Jennifer Coolidge snapped up the Emmy for Supporting Actress, following her appearance in The White Lotus.

The star seemed surprised as she accepted the award.

On stage, she pulled out a scrunched up piece of paper, saying “I didn’t think this was going to happen!”

Jerrod Carmichael wins for his comedy special Rothaniel

Comedian Jerrod Carmichael won his first Emmy for his comedy special Jerrod Carmichael: Rothaniel.

Carmichael came out as gay during the special, and hosted Saturday Night Live the night after its release.

On stage he said: “I wanted to win, I’m happy I won.”

“I made something that was of great personal consequence to me, and this definitely contributes to the meaning of it.”

Lizzo won her first Emmy award

Pop sensation and Watch Out For The Big Grrrls star Lizzo won Outstanding Competition Program for her first Emmy for her debut series.

She delivered a passionate speech encouraging more diverse stories on screen.

The 34-year-old said: “When I was a little girl all I wanted to see was me in the media – someone fat like me, Black like me, beautiful like me.”

For the last four years, RuPaul’s Drag Race has won the award. Lizzo’s win put an end to the show’s winning streak.

Zendaya made Emmy history with a second Lead Actress win

Euphoria star Zendaya made Emmy awards history, becoming the youngest actress to win Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series twice.

The 26-year-old is also the first Black woman to win the award twice.

She delivered a heartfelt speech where she acknowledged the struggles that people go through with addiction, like her Euphoria character, Rue.

“My greatest wish for Euphoria was that it could help heal people and I just want to say thank you to everyone who has shared their story with me,” she said.

“I want you to know that anyone who has loved a Rue or feels like they are a Rue, I want you to know that I’m so grateful for your stories and I carry them with me and I carry them with her.”

Sheryl Lee Ralph accepts her first Emmy with a song

Abbott Elementary star and Broadway star Sheryl Lee Ralph won her first Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.

Ralph took to the stage and sang her heart out to Dianne Reeves’ ‘Endangered Species’, before reciting a powerful speech.

She stated: “To anyone who has ever, ever, had a dream and thought your dream wasn’t, couldn’t, wouldn’t come true, I am here to tell you that this is what believing looks like, this is what striving looks like, and don’t you ever, ever, give up.”

Her speech was quickly dubbed the greatest acceptance speech of all time.
