The first trailer has arrived for All’s Fair, promising scandal, drama and whodunnit chaos.

Set to premiere this fall on Hulu (US) and Disney+ (UK), the Ryan Murphy-created legal drama follows a group of female lawyers who leave their male-dominated law firm to open a “powerhouse” practice.

As per the synopsis: “Fierce, brilliant, and emotionally complicated, they navigate high-stakes breakups, scandalous secrets, and shifting allegiances—both in the courtroom and within their own ranks. In a world where money talks and love is a battleground, these women don’t just play the game—they change it.”

All’s Fair is set to bring together an array of stars from the Ryan Murphy TV universe, including Sarah Paulson, Niecy Nash-Betts, Kim Kardashian, and Naomi Watts.

The series is also set to feature Hollywood iconGlenn Close, Teyana Taylor and Matthew Noszka.

In the trailer, Allura Grant (Kardashian), Emerald Greene (Nash-Betts) and Liberty Ronson (Watts) are sitting in a conference room before the former asks their client, Dee Barber (Elizabeth Berkley), to take “a deep breath” and tell them her story.

“It’s been a lot. I’m sorry,” Dee says, resulting in Liberty exclaiming, “No, no. We don’t meet with sorry people.”

As the trailer progresses, the iconic ‘Cell Block Tango’ from Broadway’s Chicago plays in the background while clips of the ladies and their glamorous yet complicated lives flash across the screen.

“He hurt you. Get mad, get hot. Get revenge!” Dina Standish (Close) exclaims.

In addition to teasing the series’ intricate storylines, the trailer promises backstabbing, witty dialogue, stunning outfits, twists, turns, and hot, shirtless men.

While an exact release date for All’s Fair has not been announced, the trailer has generated plenty of buzz on social media.

“This show was quite LITERALLY made for me holy shit,” one person on X/Twitter wrote.

Another viewer commented: “Will subscribe to Disney+ again for this.”

A third pop culture enthusiast tweeted: “I know this is a Ryan Murphy production, so I shouldn’t be surprised, but god, this cast is CAMP.”

The first trailer for Grotesquerie has landed, and it looks more terrifying than any recent season of American Horror Story.

The upcoming 10-episode series, which hails from the aforementioned horror anthology’s mastermind Ryan Murphy, follows a “series of heinous crimes” that have “unsettled a small community”.

Niecy Nash-Betts stars as Detective Lois Tryon, who “feels these crimes are eerily personal, as if someone – or something – is taunting her”: “At home, Lois grapples with a strained relationship with her daughter, a husband in long-term hospital care and her own inner demons.

“With no leads and unsure of where to turn, she accepts the help of Sister Megan, a nun and journalist with the Catholic Guardian. Sister Megan, with her own difficult past, has seen the worst of humanity, yet she still believes in its capacity for good.”

The synopsis continues: “Lois, on the other hand, fears the world is succumbing to evil. As Lois and Sister Megan string together clues, they find themselves ensnared in a sinister web that only seems to raise more questions than answers.”

The ensemble cast also includes Courtney B. Vance as Marshall Tryon, Lesley Manville as Nurse Redd, Micaela Diamond as Sister Megan, Nicholas Alexander Chavez as Father Charlie and Raven Goodwin as Merritt Tryon.

NFL star Travis Kelce is set to make his acting debut in an undisclosed role.

In the ominous trailer, Detective Lois says in a voiceover that it’s “like a hole opened up in the world, to the center of nothingness ” as she investigates a crime scene, followed by harrowing imagery of nuns, demons, serial killers and Travis Kelce’s fingers.

“To understand this monster, we have to decipher these murders,” says an unknown voice (presumably Sister Megan), with Nash’s character adding: “Something is happening around us. Nobody sees but me.”

Grotesquerie is written and created by Murphy, Jon Robin Baitz and Joe Baken, with Murphy directing alongside Max Winkler, Alexis Martin Woodall and Elegance Bratton.

The series premieres 25 September on FX. Watch the first terrifying trailer here or below.

Travis Kelce will make his acting debut in Ryan Murphy’s upcoming horror series Grotesquerie.

The NFL star joins previously announced cast members Niecy Nash-Betts, Courtney B. Vance and Lesley Manville in the series, which is currently in production.

Nash-Betts also shared a video on Instagram teasing Kelce’s involvement as she told fans, “Guys, guess who I am working with on Grotesquerie?”

“Jumping into new territory with Niecy!” responded the athlete, who later shared the post to his Instagram Story with the following caption: “Steppin into a new world with one of the legends.”

Kelce is the American football tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League. With the team, he has won the 2020, 2023 and 2024 Super Bowls. Last year, his fame skyrocketed as a result of his romance with Taylor Swift.

Grotesquerie will mark his first foray into acting.

Little details are known about Grotesquerie. In February, Murphy dropped a surprise teaser for the upcoming series, showing Nash’s character as she reflects on the aftermath of a mysterious incident.

“I don’t know when it started, I can’t put my finger on it, but it’s different now. There’s been a shift,” she says.

“It’s like something opening up in the world – a kind of hole that descends into a nothingness.

Attention American Horror Story enthusiasts! Ryan Murphy has announced a brand new horror series.

On 23 February, the Glee creator surprised fans when he shared a teaser for his new FX show Grotesquerie – which is set to star Niecy Nash-Betts, Courtney B. Vance and Lesley Manville.

In the brief clip, Nash’s character reflects on the aftermath of a terrible incident, which has resulted in mysterious happenings.

“I don’t know when it started, I can’t put my finger on it, but it’s different now. There’s been a shift; it’s like something opening up in the world – a kind of hole that descends into a nothingness,” she exclaims.

“What I saw today… they sent shrinks for everyone who worked this crime scene. You say, ‘Well, hon, evil has always existed.’ You cite some statistics about how the world is getting better, less murder, more help, less global horror never been a better time to be alive!'”

Toward the end of the trailer, Nash’s character fights back tears as she ominously reveals that something sinister is happening under everyone’s noses.

“It’s not getting better, and I keep needing to hear your answers because somethings happening around us and nobody sees… but me,” she added.

While Murphy refrained from releasing further details about Grotesquerie, Vance teased a few details while attending the 2024 SAG Awards.

“I don’t know who else is in it, but I’m excited,” he told Entertainment Weekly. When asked if it would be “scary,” the Law and Order: Criminal Intent star replied, “It’s all of that. The only thing I will say is it’s a half hour. That’s all I’m gonna give.”

Since the show was announced, fans have flocked to social media to express excitement over the cryptic new series.

One fan wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, posted: “NIECY??? HORROR DRAMA?? OH I am seated for this.”

Another person tweeted: “I’m interested in learning more about this.”

A third fan exclaimed: “This is the end of AHS I fear… no.”

The Grotesquerie trailer comes a couple of months before the premiere of American Horror Story: Delicate Part Two, which stars Emma Roberts, Kim Kardashian, Michaela Jaé Rodriguez and Cara Delevingne.

Based on Danielle Valentine’s novel Delicate Condition, the story follows Anna Alcott, an actress who longs for a family. After deciding to go through the IVF process to get pregnant, strange and unusual things begin to occur that threaten her dreams of becoming a mother.

As of this writing, Murphy and FX Network have yet to announce a release date for Grotesquerie.

Stay tuned for more updates.

Several LGBTQIA+ projects and actors were honoured at last night’s Primetime Emmy Awards.

On 15 January, after a four-month delay due to the Hollywood writers and actors strike, the 75th annual ceremony was held at the Peacock Theatre in LA hosted by Anthony Anderson.

From Bella Ramsey and Ariana Debose’s healing embrace to Pedro Pascal’s red carpet appearance with sister Lux Pascal, and Jennifer Coolidge’s shout-out to “all the evil gays” in her acceptance speech, the night was awash with LGBTQIA+ representation.

RuPaul’s Drag Race won the Emmy for Outstanding Competition Program. Mother Ru and the cast and crew collected the award as the commentator announced that the series had received a total of 63 Emmy nominations, with this new accolade marking the beloved franchise’s fifth win in this category.

“You guys are just pure lovely, honouring our show and recognising all these queens we have released into the wild hundreds of drag queens and they’re beautiful,” Ru said when accepting the award.

“On behalf of all of them, we thank you. And hey, if a drag queen wants to read you a story at a library, listen to her, because knowledge is power and if someone tries to restrict your access to power, they are trying to scare you. Listen to a drag queen, we love you, thank you.”

Visage took to Instagram to celebrate the “incredible legacy” of the show and the ‘burning love’ she has for RuPaul: “HOLYYYYY MOLYYYYY! IS THIS EVEN REAL?! I can’t believe this!!! WE DID IT!!! What a gift to be a part of this incredible legacy that has gifted the world these unbelievably talented queens filled with love, honesty, determination and joy. They inspire me endlessly.

“THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO VOTED FOR US AND THOSE OF YOU WHO LOVE WHAT WE DO!!!! WE’D BE NOTHING WITHOUT YOU, THE QUEENS AND THE LGBTQIA+ COMMUNITY! I love you with all I’ve got! 🖤 @rupaulofficial you are my everything and I love you so much it burns (I do have the ointment).”

The win comes after RuPaul’s historic eighth consecutive Creative Emmy Award for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Competition Program. This made him the most awarded host in Emmy history and holds the record for the most wins for a person of colour.

Niecy Nash-Betts won her first Emmy for Best Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for her role in Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story. This was for her portrayal of prolific serial killer Dahmer’s neighbour Glenda Cleveland.

In one of the most powerful speeches of the night, Nash-Betts thanked her wife Jessica Betts “who picked me up when I was gutted from this work” and commemorated the lives of Black women.

“I accept this award in honour of every Black and Brown woman who has gone unheard yet overpoliced, like Glenda Cleveland, like Sandra Bland, like Breonna Taylor. As an artist, my job is to speak truth to power, and I’m going to do it until the day I die. Mama, I won!”

The Bear’s Ayo Edebiri also won her first Emmy for Supporting Actress. The chef drama was the joint winner of the night, scoring five wins alongside Beef.

“You’re real ones,” Edebiri said in her heartfelt speech, which lovingly paid tribute to her parents: “Loving me and letting me feel beautiful and Black and proud.”

This is the actor’s second win in a week after taking home the Golden Globe for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Series for her performance as sous chef, Sydney Adamu.

Elton John secured his place in the history books when he officially became the 19th person to win an EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony).

The legendary singer won the Emmy for Outstanding Variety Special (Live) for his Disney+ special Elton John Live: Farewell from Dodger Stadium.

The ‘Rocketman’ singer couldn’t be there to attend the awards ceremony due to a knee injury, so producer Ben Winston and John’s husband David Furnish accepted the award on his behalf.

In a statement, John said: “I am incredibly humbled to be joining the unbelievably talented group of EGOT winners tonight. The journey to this moment has been filled with passion, dedication, and the unwavering support of my fans all around the world.

“Tonight is a testament to the power of the arts and the joy that it brings to all our lives. Thank you to everyone who has supported me throughout my career, I am incredibly grateful.”

A plethora – PLETHORA! – of LGBTQ+ shows, films and actors have been nominated at the 2023 Primetime Emmy Awards.

On 12 July, Yvette Nicole Brown and Television Academy chairman and CEO Frank Scherma revealed the nominees in a live ceremony.

The Last of Us, HBO’s post-apocalyptic drama based on the video game of the same name, is up for Best Drama, Best Actor – Drama (Pedro Pascal), Best Actress – Drama (Bella Ramsey), Best Writing – Drama, and Best Directing – Drama.

Over at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards, the series also picked up nods for Outstanding Guest Actor – Drama (Murray Bartlett, Nick Offerman, Lamar Johnson, Keivonn Montreal Woodard) and Outstanding Guest Actress – Drama (Melanie Lynskey, Storm Reid, Anna Torv).

Created by Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann, The Last of Us received universal critical acclaim for its faithfulness to the source material, the chemistry between Pascal and Ramsey and the high production value.

The third episode – titled Long Long Time – was particularly lauded; shifting focus from Joel and Ellie to chronicle the love story between paranoid survivalist Bill (Offerman) and his partner Frank (Bartlett), it has since been hailed as one of the best episodes of television ever broadcast.

Fire Island received nominations for Best Television Movie and Best Writing for a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie (Joel Kim Booster).

Hailed by critics and viewers as an instant queer classic, Fire Island follows two best friends (Booster and Bowen Yang) as they embark on their annual weeklong vacation to the titular gay hotspot.

Directed by Andrew Ahn, the Pride and Prejudice-inspired rom-com puts queer Asian-American narratives at the forefront whilst celebrating and glorifying LGBTQ+ culture like no other film before it. (GAY TIMES named Fire Island as one of the top 10 LGBTQ+ films of 2022.)

Other LGBTQ+ nominees include Yellowjackets for Best Drama and Best Actress – Drama (Lynskey, again!), RuPaul’s Drag Race for Best Reality Competition, Best Unstructured Reality Program and Outstanding Host For A Reality Or Competition Program (RuPaul).

The White Lotus’ sophomore season also continued to see success with the following nominations: Best Drama, Supporting Actor – Drama (F. Murray Abraham, Michael Imperioli, Theo James, The White Lotus) and Supporting Actress – Drama (Jennifer Coolidge, Meghann Fahy, Sabrina Impacciatore, Aubrey Plaza, Simona Tabasco).

Additionally, Ted Lasso’s final season and Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story earned various nominations, while The Other Two – which recently ended with its third season – is up for Best Writing – Comedy.
