The first trailer has arrived for All’s Fair, promising scandal, drama and whodunnit chaos.

Set to premiere this fall on Hulu (US) and Disney+ (UK), the Ryan Murphy-created legal drama follows a group of female lawyers who leave their male-dominated law firm to open a “powerhouse” practice.

As per the synopsis: “Fierce, brilliant, and emotionally complicated, they navigate high-stakes breakups, scandalous secrets, and shifting allegiances—both in the courtroom and within their own ranks. In a world where money talks and love is a battleground, these women don’t just play the game—they change it.”

All’s Fair is set to bring together an array of stars from the Ryan Murphy TV universe, including Sarah Paulson, Niecy Nash-Betts, Kim Kardashian, and Naomi Watts.

The series is also set to feature Hollywood iconGlenn Close, Teyana Taylor and Matthew Noszka.

In the trailer, Allura Grant (Kardashian), Emerald Greene (Nash-Betts) and Liberty Ronson (Watts) are sitting in a conference room before the former asks their client, Dee Barber (Elizabeth Berkley), to take “a deep breath” and tell them her story.

“It’s been a lot. I’m sorry,” Dee says, resulting in Liberty exclaiming, “No, no. We don’t meet with sorry people.”

As the trailer progresses, the iconic ‘Cell Block Tango’ from Broadway’s Chicago plays in the background while clips of the ladies and their glamorous yet complicated lives flash across the screen.

“He hurt you. Get mad, get hot. Get revenge!” Dina Standish (Close) exclaims.

In addition to teasing the series’ intricate storylines, the trailer promises backstabbing, witty dialogue, stunning outfits, twists, turns, and hot, shirtless men.

While an exact release date for All’s Fair has not been announced, the trailer has generated plenty of buzz on social media.

“This show was quite LITERALLY made for me holy shit,” one person on X/Twitter wrote.

Another viewer commented: “Will subscribe to Disney+ again for this.”

A third pop culture enthusiast tweeted: “I know this is a Ryan Murphy production, so I shouldn’t be surprised, but god, this cast is CAMP.”

Robert De Niro has expressed unwavering support for his trans daughter, Airyn.

In a statement to Variety, the Academy Award-winning icon said: “I loved and supported Aaron as my Aaron, and now I love and support Airyn as my daughter.”

De Niro continued: “I don’t know what the big deal is. I love all my children.”

Earlier this week, Airyn came out publicly as trans in an interview with Them, saying it “feels right” to finally share her identity. She credited other trans women who have embraced visibility for inspiring her journey.

“Getting to see them in their success, being honest and open in public spaces,” she said, “I’m like, you know what? Maybe it’s not too late for me. Maybe I can start.”

She reflected on the difference between recognition and visibility: “There’s a difference between being visible and being seen. I’ve been visible. I don’t think I’ve been seen yet.”

Airyn, one of De Niro’s seven children and the daughter of model Toukie Smith, also spoke about how Black women have shaped her experience.

“I think stepping into this new identity, while also being more proud of my Blackness,” she explained, “makes me feel closer to them in some way.”

Despite her confidence, Airyn admitted she has concerns about how her transition will be received by her family. “I worry they’ll still think of me as the person I was before the transition,” she said.

Still, she remains determined to be a source of strength and representation for others in the Black LGBTQIA+ community — especially those who, like her, don’t fit the narrow beauty standards often associated with visibility.

“I’d want to see more trans women, more Black women who are maybe bigger-bodied or don’t fit the mold of super thin or heroin chic,” she said.

“I want queer people of color and bigger-bodied people to have an Alex Consani. I want queer people of color and bigger-bodied people to have a Hunter Schafer.”

Airyn also opened up about her dream of following in her mother’s footsteps as a model.

“A part of me has always wanted to model,” she said. “Honestly, if I could be on the cover of Vogue with her, or recreate one of her photos, that would be a dream come true.”

De Niro’s support for Airyn comes at a time when trans rights remain under threat, as the Trump administration continues efforts to roll back protections for trans people.

This includes attempts to limit access to gender-affirming healthcare, restrict participation in sports and define gender narrowly in legal terms — all of which have sparked widespread concern among LGBTQIA+ advocates.

On a positive note, De Niro joins a growing list of high-profile figures who have publicly supported their trans children — and, by extension, trans rights — including Charlize Theron, Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union, Jamie Lee Curtis, Cher, Annette Bening and Warren Beatty, Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber and Sade.

Various LGBTQIA+ stories and queer talent were honoured at last night’s Golden Globe Awards.

For this year’s festivities, comedian Nikki Glaser led the memorable night, which featured appearances by Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, Andrew Garfield, and Kate Winslet.

Alongside the show’s star-studded roster, the evening was also filled with an array of LGBTQIA+ winners.

Netflix’s hit black comedy slash thriller Baby Reindeer won the award for Best Television Limited Series, Anthology Series or Motion Picture Made for Television.

Jessica Gunning also nabbed the Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Television Series award for her critically acclaimed portrayal of Martha in the series.

“This is an absolute honour, honestly. There’s a video of me when I was little, I was about eight-years-old, and my mom and dad got me a hamster for Christmas, and they brought it out… and I just kept saying, ‘I can’t believe this is happening to me, I can’t believe this is happening to me,'” Gunning said during her acceptance speech.

“And I realized this morning that it has been a kind of soundtrack for my life for this year since Baby Reindeer came out. I cannot believe any of this is happening to me. So I just want to say thank you to everyone who let me come on this journey.”

Max’s critically acclaimed comedy Hacks won the Golden Globe for Best Television Series—Musical or Comedy, and Jean Smart also won for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series—Musical or Comedy.

Wicked secured the trophy for Cinematic and Box Office Achievement.

The Jon M Chu-directed film deserved the award, considering it recently became the highest-grossing Broadway adaptation globally, earning over $700 million.

The film that previously held the record was 2008’s Mamma Mia!, which earned $610 million worldwide.

Jodie Foster took home her fourth Golden Golden Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Limited Series, Anthology Series or Motion Picture Made for Television for her work in HBO’s True Detective: Night Country.

However, the biggest LGBTQIA+ winner of the night was the musical slash thriller Emilia Pérez, which won the awards for Best Motion Picture—Musical or Comedy, Best Motion Picture—Non-English Language, and Best Original Song.

While accepting the Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy award, the film’s star, trans actress Karla Sofía Gascón, delivered a powerful speech about perseverance and identity.

“I chose these colours tonight, the Buddhist colours, because I have a message for you. The light always wins over darkness,” she exclaimed.

“You can maybe put us in jail, you can beat us up, but you never can take away our soul, our existence, our identity. I want to say to you: Raise your voice for freedom. I am who I am, not who you want. Thank you so much.”

The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences are in their queer era (finally!).

On Wednesday (17 July), nominations for the upcoming 76th Primetime Emmy Awards were unveiled, and its absolutely dominated by LGBTQIA+ actors and stories. Seriously, there’s a lot of rainbow rep here.

First of all, ‘Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie’ is stacked with queer talent, with four out of five nominees identifying as part of the LGBTQIA+ community: Matt Bomer (Fellow Travelers), Richard Gadd (Baby Reindeer), Tom Hollander (Feud: Capote vs. The Swans) and Andrew Scott (Ripley). They join Jon Hamm (Fargo), who is repping for the heterosexuals.

In a statement, Bomer highlighted the significance of “two out actors” in a queer love story being nominated, saying it was “profoundly moving to me”.

Baby Reindeer, Richard Gadd’s lauded Netflix series about his experiences with sexual assault, received seven nominations including the aforementioned category and three additional for acting: Tom Goodman-Hill, Jessica Gunning and Nava Mau.

With her nomination, Mau makes history as the first trans actress to be nominated for ‘Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie’.

Following the announcement, Mau told Deadline that she’d been crying for 45 minutes with “overwhelming joy”.

“For trans actors we just don’t get a lot of opportunities to develop our craft, grow as artists, and to be recognized for all that we are and all that we can be,” she shared.

“It has been a priceless experience being a part of this show. Every step of the way, I could feel the way the experience was transforming me, my life, and what feels possible.

“To be recognized by my peers in the Academy is a celebration of that transformation.”

As well as Scott’s performance as the title character in Ripley, which marks his second nomination, the Netflix series has been nominated for ‘Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series’, in addition to three more for directing, writing and Dakota Fanning for Supporting Actress.

While there was significant uproar over Fellow Travelers’ snub in the ‘Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series’ category, Jonathan Bailey earned his first-ever nomination in ‘Supporting Actor’, while creator Ron Nyswaner was recognised for his writing.

Bailey said the nomination “is beyond measure”: “It is not lost on me that this sort of recognition is rare. I’ve grown up savoring the minimal queer television and film on offer whilst battling problematic media and societal criticism of queer life.

“I have loved so many award winning dramatic performances of gay characters but for Matt and I to be nominated together as gay actors feels like the sort of progress that would have made the world an easier place to grow up in.”

“For that I am grateful and so unbelievably proud. Thank you to the TV Academy for this opportunity,” he concluded, before commending the cast and crew of Fellow Travelers.

For its third acclaimed season, Max’s comedy series Hacks landed six nods including ‘Outstanding Comedy Series’ and a third consecutive nomination for Hannah Einbinder in ‘Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series’.

As always, RuPaul’s Drag Race has been nominated for ‘Outstanding Reality Competition Program’, where it faces stiff competition from The Amazing Race, Top Chef, The Voice and – we reckon this will be the one to beat – The Traitors.

Additional queer actors with acting noms are as follows: Ayo Edebiri (The Bear), Jodie Foster (True Detective: Night Country), Holland Taylor (The Morning Show), Lily Gladstone (Under the Bridge) and Bowen Yang (Saturday Night Live).

Over at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards, which features awards for artistic, technical and animated achievements, Prime Video’s instant LGBTQIA+ classic Red, White & Royal Blue has been nominated for ‘Outstanding Television Movie’.

For her role in Prime’s action-comedy series Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Sarah Paulson is up for ‘Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series’.

RuPaul is eyeing her ninth consecutive award for ‘Outstanding Host for a Reality or Competition Program’, where she will face off against Alan Cumming (The Traitors), Kristen Kish (Top Chef), Jeff Probst (Survivor) and the six hosts of Shark Tank.

Baby Reindeer, Feud: Capote vs. The Swans, RuPaul’s Drag Race: Untucked, Hacks, Queer Eye, Ripley, We’re Here and What We Do In The Shadows are among the queer projects that have landed further technical awards, from production design to casting and picture editing.

Check out the nominations (that you need to know about) for the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards, which is set to take place 15 September, below.

The first trailer for Ryan Murphy’s Feud: Capote vs The Swans has arrived.

Based on Laurence Leamer’s best-selling book, Capote’s Women: a True Story of Love, Betrayal, and a Swan Song for an Era, the limited series follows the titular author (Tom Hollander) and his volatile relationship with four of New York’s most affluent women – which he refers to as “the swans.”

The official synopsis reads: “Beautiful and distinguished the group included grande dame Barbara “Babe” Paley (Naomi Watts), Slim Keith (Diane Lane), C.Z. Guest (Chloë Sevigny) and Lee Radziwill (Calista Flockhart). Enchanted and captivated by these doyennes, Capote ingratiated himself into their lives, befriending them and becoming their confidante, only to ultimately betray them by writing a thinly veiled fictionalization of their lives, exposing their most intimate secrets.

“When an excerpt from the book, Answered Prayers, Capote’s planned magnum opus, was published in Esquire, it effectively destroyed his relationship with his swans, banished him from the high society he so loved and sent him into a spiral of self-destruction from which he would ultimately never recover.”

The upcoming series will also feature Demi Moore as Ann “Bang-Bang” Wood, Russell Tovey as John O’Shea, Molly Ringwald as Joanne Carson, Treat Williams as Bill Paley and Joe Mantello as Jack Dunphy.

On 3 January, FX surprised Feud fans when they released the scandalous new trailer for the eight-episode series.

At the start of the video, Linda Ronstadt’s iconic track ‘You’re No Good’ plays in the background as Barbara and C.Z. meet outside a regal New York restaurant.

“We made New York the capital of the world, the center of everything,” Slim says in a voice-over. “Sex, money and endless adventure.”

Things take an awkward and catty turn when Ann attempts to sit with the influential women, resulting in Lee pointedly declining.

“We see the importance of presentation, underneath though it’s all an act,” Slim says in a voice-over.

The trailer then shows the four women spilling all of their high society tea to Capote, who is so gagged that he starts to write a book about the drama.

Of course, his actions don’t go well with his beloved “swans,” who pledge to banish the famous writer from high society.

“He’ll be cut off from all high society, and that will kill him,” Slim explains to Barbara.

Towards the end of the trailer, a handful of dramatic scenes flash across the screen featuring Joanne screaming at Capote, Ann “allegedly” shooting her husband and a sure-to-be iconic dinner party fight.

Shortly after the teaser was released, fans took to social media to express their excitement for the series.

One X, formerly known as Twitter, user wrote: “I will be on time for this !! #FeudFX they got the OGs out of retirement.”

Another viewer commented: Devils Deception & Decadence. This is what I wanna see.”

A third user added: “Just FYI #FeudFX Capote Vs. The Swans is gonna dictate my personality during its run! Doesn’t matter at all if it’s bad!”

Feud: Capote vs The Swans comes over six years after the first season was released, which followed the infamous rivalry between Joan Crawford (Susan Sarandon) and Bette Davis (Jessica Lange).

Netflix has renewed Ryan Murphy’s controversial Monster series for two more seasons.

Back in September, the popular streamer released Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story – which featured Evan Peters as the titular character.

Set between 1978 and 1991, the ten-episode project follows the violent and disturbing crimes of one of the most infamous serial killers in the world.

While the series earned massive viewership numbers for the streamer, Monster faced backlash from some of the victim’s family members, who accused the project of exploiting their trauma.

In a September interview with Insider, Rita Isbell – who was the sister of one of Dahmer’s victims – said she had no idea the show was being made.

“I was never contacted about the show. I feel like Netflix should’ve asked if we mind or how we felt about making it,” she told the news outlet.

However despite the pushback and mixed reviews, Netflix announced on 7 November that the show would be back for two additional seasons.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the new seasons will take on an anthology-type format and follow “stories of other monstrous figures who have impacted society.”

In addition to Monster’s renewal, Murphy’s series The Watcher was also greenlit for a second season.

As of this writing, it is still being determined if the Naomi Watts-led thriller will pick up after the events of season one or follow a new story.

Shortly after the news made headlines, Netflix’s Head of Global TV, Bela Bajaria, opened up about the renewal in a statement.

“Audiences can’t take their eyes off Monster and The Watcher. The creative team of Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan on Monster, along with Eric Newman on The Watcher, are masterful storytellers who captivated audiences all over the world,” she said.

“The back-to-back force of these two series is due to Ryan’s distinct original voice, which created cultural sensations, and we are thrilled to continue telling stories in the Monster and Watcher universes.”

The renewal news comes a few days after Murphy addressed the ongoing controversy surrounding Monster’s Dahmer-focused first season.

“It’s something that we researched for a very long time. And we – over the course of the three, three and a half years when we were really writing it, working on it – we reached out to 20, around 20, of the victims’ families and friends trying to get input, trying to talk to people,” he said at a panel in Los Angeles. (per The Hollywood Reporter).

“And not a single person responded to us in that process. So we relied very, very heavily on our incredible group of researchers who… I don’t even know how they found a lot of this stuff.”

Towards the end of his statement, Murphy said that the series’ goal wasn’t meant to highlight Dahmer but shed light on white privilege and homophobia.

Jennifer Coolidge has reportedly signed on as the lead of Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan’s new limited series, The Watcher.

Despite the show not yet being formally announced, it is expected that it will be about a married couple played by Naomi Watts and Bobby Cannavale.

After moving into a new home together, they are targeted by an unknown stalker who signs off terrifying letters sent to them as “The Watcher.”

The storyline is inspired by New Jersey’s infamous “Watcher” house that was abandoned after a couple was sent letters from “The Watcher,” an anonymous person claiming to be “watching” the property for decades.

Deadline reports that Coolidge has joined the series, though information on her role in it remains scarce.

Murphy and Brennan will serve as the executive producers of the series alongside Bryan Unkeless, Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman.

The Watcher is currently being filmed, with its premiere date currently unclear.

It is expected to debut on Netflix after the streaming giant won the rights package in December 2018.

Coolidge will soon appear in Netflix’s first gay Christmas movie, Single All the Way, which will be out in December.

The movie will mark the first time the streaming platform has featured a gay romance as its main storyline of a Christmas film.

It will follow Peter (Michael Urie) persuading his best friend Nick (Philemon Chambers) to return home for the holidays.

This is so he can be his fake date and appease Peter’s Christmas-obsessed family who desperately wants him to be in a relationship.

Little do they know, Peter’s mother, Carole (Kathy Najimy), is trying to get him set up with her spin instructor, James (Luke MacFarlane).

Coolidge will play Aunt Sandy, who from the trailer appears to be providing all the comedy we could hope for.

Single All the Way is expected to arrive on Netflix on 2 December.

Kristen Stewart has been cast as Princess Diana in Spencer.

Directed by Pablo Larraín, the film will cover a “critical weekend” when the Princess of Wales decided that her marriage wasn’t working “and that she needed to veer from a path that put her in line to one day be queen.”

It will take place in the early 90s over three days, in one of Diana’s final Christmas holidays in the House of Windsor in their Sandringham estate in Norfolk, England. According to Deadline, production will begin early 2021.

Larraín, who earned Oscar nominations for films No (2012) and Jackie (2016), said he boarded the project because he sees Diana and Charles’ fraught relationship as the antithesis of the fairytale trope.

“We all grew up, at least I did in my generation, reading and understanding what a fairy tale is. Usually, the prince comes and finds the princess, invites her to become his wife and eventually she becomes queen,” Larraín told Deadline.

“When someone decides not to be the queen, and says, I’d rather go and be myself, it’s a big big decision, a fairy tale upside down. I’ve always been very surprised by that and thought it must have been very hard to do. That is the heart of the movie.

“It’s a great universal story that can reach millions and millions of people, and that’s what we want to do. We want to make a movie that goes wide, connects with a worldwide audience that is interested in such a fascinating life.”

Larraín also called Stewart “one of the great actors around today” and said she’s perfect for the role because she can be “very mysterious and very fragile an ultimately very strong as well, which is what we need.”

“The way she responded to the script and how she is approaching the character, it’s very beautiful to see. I think she’s going to do something stunning and intriguing at the same time. She is this force of nature,” he added.

“We’re very happy to have her, she’s very committed. As a filmmaker, when you have someone who can hold such a weight, dramatic and narrative weight just with her eyes, then you have the strong lead who can deliver what we are looking for.”

The directed continued to say that the film is titled after Diana’s maiden name because it’s ultimately about “finding herself, about understanding that possibly the most important for her is to be well, and to be with herself and by herself.”

Spencer’s scripted is helmed by Steven Knight (Eastern Promises, Locke, Hummingbird), with Larraín producing alongside Fabula partner Juan de Dios, Jonas Dornbach, Janine Jackowski and Paul Webster.

Princess Diana’s life previously received the biopic treatment in 2013 with Naomi Watts in the role. Although she received positive reviews for her performance, the film was critically-panned and tanked at the box office.

Since Stewart rose to fame as Bella Sawn in The Twilight Saga (2008-2012), the actress has received praise for her roles in Still Alice (2014), Clouds of Sils Maria (2015), Personal Shopper (2016) and Lizzie (2018).

“YOU EARN EVERYTHANG!”

The second episode of Drag Race season 11 provided fans with the most meme-worthy moment of the series since, well, two months ago when Valentina and Naomi Smalls introduced us to the iconic Club 96 on All Stars 4.

Oh, and of course… Vaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanjie!

During the challenge, in which the contestants starred in drag queen parody versions of blockbuster films Black Panther and Get Out, Mercedes Iman Diamond struggled with her pronunciation of ‘opulence’.

Shortly after, she became a viral sensation, so in celebration, we’ve rounded up our ten favourite memes on the net of “OPPALANCE! YOU EARN EVERYTHANG!” Enjoy!

For the next challenge, the queens are tasked with putting their pop icon knowledge to the test when they have to perform in live diva worship chat shows, presumably in two opposing groups.

According to Drag Race’s official Twitter account, they will be worshipping at ‘the Church of Britney and the Church of Mariah’.

Aussie queer icon and superstar Troye Sivan will make his judging debut alongside Scandal star Guillermo Diaz.
