The new season of I Kissed a Boy is breaking incredible new ground in its upcoming season.

Back in 2023, UK-based reality TV viewers were treated to the country’s first-ever same-sex dating show.

Upon its release, the series received widespread acclaim for its diverse and inclusive cast, its depiction of queer male culture and its soundtrack of pop bangers.

The success of “I Kissed a Boy” also led to the sapphic 2024 spin-off “I Kissed a Girl,” which received universal acclaim for its casting and representation of sapphic culture.

While the first entry of I Kissed a Boy was groundbreaking, the upcoming second season is set to be even more inclusive and representative of the LGBTQIA+ community.

On 30 April, BBC Three announced the 11 fresh “hotties” that will make their way to the iconic Masseria, including the franchise’s first-ever trans contestant, Lars.

Hailing from Wolverhampton, the dreamy 23-year-old is a hotel receptionist who loves football and is a “self-confessed cheeky chappy.”

According to his cast bio, he wanted to participate in the series to push himself to connect with people face-to-face without distractions like phones.

Lars is also a hopeless romantic with “maturity that belies his years,” which he attributes to his transition.

“I’ve been through 16 years of my life as a girl. It’s aged me, but in a good way,” he told the BBC.

With a mature mindset and the knowledge he gained from his first love and heartbreak, Lars is ready to take off the shackles of singledom, exclaiming, “The missing piece of the puzzle is a man!”

Lastly, Lars reflected on being the first trans cast member in the I Kissed… franchise and the importance of authentic LGBTQIA+ representation.

“I Kissed a Boy isn’t just a fun reality TV show that we all know and love – it is a celebration of queer love in all its forms. And I am honestly so proud to be the first trans person on the show,” he said.

“Growing up, I never saw stories like mine reflected on screen, so to be a part of something that embraces and normalises LGBTQ+ relationships means the absolute world to me. It’s messy, it’s joyful, it’s real, and it is exactly the kind of representation we need.”

Like its first entry, I Kissed a Boy season two will see the 11 contestants paired up and kissing the moment they meet.

Throughout the series, the boys will decide whether to stay with their current partner through dramatic “kiss-offs,” or pursue someone new — including incoming bombshells.

Australian pop icon and longstanding LGBTQIA+ ally Dannii Minogue is returning as Cupid, while Laurence Olivier Award-winning star Layton Williams will reprise his narrator role.

The first two episodes of I Kissed a Boy season two are scheduled to premiere on 11 May (Sunday) and 12 May (Monday) at 9:00 pm on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer.

BBC Three is serving up another “hot queer summer” with I Kissed a Boy season two — and we’ve got your first look at the new cast.

Featuring the return of Australian pop icon Dannii Minogue as Cupid — and Laurence Olivier Award-winning star Layton Williams as narrator — the new season introduces 11 fresh “hotties” to the iconic Masseria, including the franchise’s first-ever trans contestant!

Echoing the format of both the original series and its sapphic spin-off I Kissed a Girl, season two kicks off with contestants paired up and kissing the moment they meet.

Throughout the series, the boys will decide whether to stay with their current partner through dramatic “kiss-offs,” or pursue someone new — including incoming bombshells.

The first season of I Kissed a Boy premiered in 2023, making history as the UK’s first-ever same-sex dating show. It was praised for its diverse and inclusive cast, authentic portrayal of queer male culture and a soundtrack stacked with iconic pop bangers.

Minogue also earned widespread acclaim for her hosting skills, unwavering allyship and — of course — her impeccable wardrobe.

Its success led to the aforementioned spin-off I Kissed a Girl, with YouTuber and comedian Charley Marlowe replacing Williams as narrator.

Like the flagship series, it made history as the UK’s first dating show to feature exclusively lesbian and bisexual women, earning praise for both its casting and depiction of sapphic culture.

With the retrospective out of the way, let’s meet the boys!

Dannii Minogue has opened up about why she agreed to host the I Kissed a Boy, and I Kissed a Girl series.

Back in 2023, UK-based reality TV viewers were treated to the country’s first-ever same-sex dating show, I Kissed a Boy.

Upon its release, the series received widespread praise for its diverse and inclusive cast, its depiction queer male culture and its soundtrack of pop bangers.

The success of I Kissed a Boy led to the 2024 spin-off I Kissed a Girlwhich also received universal acclaim for its casting and representation of sapphic culture.

However, one of the most popular aspects of the series is Minogue, who has been lauded by viewers for her allyship, hosting abilities, and impeccable wardrobe.

In a recent interview with The Advertiser, the legendary talent opened up about everything I Kissed a Boy and I Kissed a Girl – including why she took on the role of Cupid.

“I said yes to IKAB and IKAG as they deeply resonated with me. I’ve had a lifetime of amazing friendships with people in the LGBTQIA+ community and have been able to be an ally both personally and professionally,” she explained to the news outlet.

“I hope that with more representation on TV, life will be easier to navigate for the next generation.”

Minogue also gushed about the wholesome reactions she received from people who have watched the show, including her friends and the show’s cast members.

“[They] tell me the same thing after watching the show: ‘My life would have been so different if I had a TV show like this when I was growing up,” she revealed.

Minogue’s recent interview comes a few months after the BBC renewed I Kissed a Boy for a second season.

Nasfim Haque, Head of Content for BBC Three, said: “I am thrilled to have this innovative, ground-breaking format return to BBC Three.

“I Kissed A Boy’s success is a testament to the channel’s unwavering dedication to producing content that both entertains and educates”.

Minogue echoed similar sentiments in her own statement, teasing that she’s ready to kick off another “wonderful summer of love.”

“I am so excited that I’ll be back in Italy to play Cupid. I can’t wait to meet the next cast when the Masseria doors open… There are so many diverse and important stories yet to tell,” the pop hitmaker added.

If it follows the same formula as its predecessors, I Kissed a Boy season two will feature 10 new contestants who will match up and share a kiss upon meeting each other for the first time.

Throughout the course of the series, the contestants will decide whether they want to stay with their current partner via a series of “kiss-offs” or match with someone new.

You can watch I Kissed a Boy and I Kissed a Girl on BBC iPlayer.

Pedro Pascal has left fans speechless with his latest batch of shirtless photos.

On 25 December, the internet’s favourite ‘daddy’ opted out of a cold and cosy Christmas for a relaxing holiday on the beach.

Fortunately for fans, his tropical getaway was documented by friend and fashion designer Lauren Alexander – who uploaded a handful of photos to her Instagram story.

One snapshot showcased a shirtless Pascal wearing red swim trunks and sipping on a coconut alongside composer Brad Campbell.

Another photo featured the bare-chested Fantastic Four star lounging on a beach chair, reading Don’t Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead by Olga Tokarczuk.

Pascal’s tropical holiday also included an appearance from singer-songwriter Omar Apollo, who posed for a picture alongside the former and his agent, Franklin Latt.

It didn’t take fans long to share their hilarious and thirsty reactions to Pascal’s sunkissed photos, with one X/Twitter user writing: “The Christmas gift I didn’t know I needed.”

Another fan tweeted: “Nothing hotter than a man reading Nobel laureate Olga Tokarczuk.”

A third Pascal enthusiast added: “I have so many unholy things to say.”

The set of steamy photos comes after a booked and busy year for Pascal, who starred in various projects, including Gladiator II, The Wild Robot and Drive-Away Dolls.

In addition to promoting his new movies and traversing the 2024 award show season, the Narcos star has been busy shooting several highly anticipated films and TV series.

Earlier this year, the beloved talent stepped back into the shoes of Joel Miller to shoot the second season of Max’s The Last of Us, which has a release date set for 2025.

After wrapping up the survival horror series, he immediately began filming Marvel’s The Fantastic Four: First Steps, playing Reed Richards, the superhero team’s extremely intelligent and elastic leader.

While attending San Diego Comic-Con in July, Pascal opened up to The Hollywood Reporter about why he had joined the superhero film and MCU franchise.

“Mainly because of the cast that I would be part of. Matt Shakman, the director, has been a lifelong friend of mine,” he explained.

“And because of the influence of the world of Marvel, [it’s] authored so much of popular entertainment. And to be invited into that experience is something that I couldn’t say no to. I love the comic, and I love being in a family.”

We can’t wait to see more of the talented Pascal and his dashing good looks in 2025.

Marvel sapphics, rise! The latest episode of Agatha All Along confirmed a long-standing fan theory about two major characters.

Major spoilers ahead.

In episode four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe series, Kathryn Hahn’s titular anti-hero continues to travel down The Witches Road with her new coven: “Teen” (Joe Locke), Jennifer Kale (Sasheer Zamata), Alice Wu-Gulliver (Ali Ahn) and Lilia Calderu (Patti LuPone).

As a result of Sharon Davis’ (Debra Jo Rupp) shock death in episode three, the witches are forced to summon a replacement Green Witch, who happens to be Rio Vidal (Aubrey Plaza), the same witch who attempted to kill Agatha in the premiere (and sensually licked her blood).

With the return of Plaza’s fan-favourite character, Agatha‘s sapphic levels were elevated, quite significantly. From Jennifer, Alice and Lilia admiring Rio’s appearance to Agatha seductively tricking Rio in the third trial by airing their conversation on a speaker, it finally makes sense as to why Plaza described the series as ‘Marvel’s gayest ever’.

It doesn’t stop there: After escaping death for a second time, and saving Teen’s life, the coven bond by sharing their “battle scars”. When Rio tells the witches that she, too, has a scar, Agatha immediately says, “No you don’t,” insinuating that she’s familiar with Rio’s body.

Rio fires back: “Yes I do. A long time ago, I loved someone. And I had to do something that I did not wanna do, even though it was my job, and it hurt them. She is my scar.” With Agatha’s expression and her need to immediately stretch her legs, it’s clear that Rio was discussing what caused the fracture in their relationship.

In the episode’s final moments, Agatha and Rio almost share a kiss – confirming fan theories that the two were once romantically involved. Their kiss is put on pause when Rio informs Agatha that “that boy” – Teen – “is not yours” – which ends some fan theories that Locke’s hero is the son she once lost.

While social media was inundated with speculation about Teen’s true identity, as well as Rio’s (Lady Death has been a popular theory), queer viewers widely celebrated the MCU’s long-awaited sapphic invasion.

“The yearning, the intimacy, the soft touches, the longing eyes, Agatha brushing Rio‘s hair from her face, the relief from each other’s touch,” one fan tweeted alongside a video of their intimate moment.

“Rio touched Agatha’s upper thigh, admitted that she loves her, and then Agatha almost kissed her? IN THE MCU? LIKE THIS IS REAL AND CANON?” said another.

A third wrote: “Okay enough time has passed again. Agatha and Rio are one of the hottest MCU couples #agathaallalong. Everyone say thank you to Aubrey Plaza and Kathryn Hahn for having the best chemistry.”

Check out the best reactions below.

Colton Underwood has shared his idea for a gay season of The Bachelor in a new interview.

Since its inception nearly two decades ago, the popular dating show has become a reality TV mainstay, spawning successful spinoffs – The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise – while earning praise for its signature romantic formula.

However, in recent years, many LGBTQIA+ viewers have called out the show for not featuring a queer lead.

While a gay season of The Bachelor has yet to arrive on our TV screens, a handful of former contestants have come out as members of the community, like Underwood.

The former football player first appeared in The Bachelorette season 14 before leading the 23rd season of The Bachelor.

During a recent appearance on the Boyfriend Material podcast, Underwood shared his opinion on a potential gay Bachelor season after host Harry Jowsey brought up the Australian franchise’s recent three-lead structure.

“See, that’s what I want to do. Everybody keeps saying, ‘Will The Bachelor ever do a gay bachelor?’ And my response is always, ‘I think it’s lazy to always put that on The Bachelor franchise’. But I do think there’s a version in which if we had three bachelors at the same time, you can represent our community as a whole,” he said.

“It’s hard to represent the gay community with one singular person. Everybody’s so picky they have types. Also, our community is so diverse, and I think it makes for a dramatic and messy season.”

While Underwood teased his idea for the show’s structure – i.e. splitting the contestants and leads into pods – he refrained from sharing further details of his pitch.

“No, because they’re going to just steal it and put it on air and not credit me. I already know how this goes. I’ve been burned by it before. They have my cell phone number and my agent’s number,” he continued.

Underwood’s recent interview comes a few months after he revealed that he’s spoken to a few Bachelor producers about a potential gay iteration.

“Yeah, I’ve had talks with some of the producers, but I think beyond just The Bachelor, there are so many other incredible dating shows that might even be more well-equipped format-wise,” he told Entertainment Weekly.

“I think when you think about the format of The Bachelor, it’s tricky and hard. Our community is so diverse, and we play by different rules, and I mean that with all the love and respect, and I think there’s other shows like Love is Blind and The Ultimatum that you saw did a queer season,” he explained.

Despite The Bachelor’s lack of queer leads, there has been a steady increase in LGBTQIA+ inclusion within the dating show genre.

In the UK, BBC Three dropped theI Kissed a Boy and I Kissed a Girl series, which both earned universal acclaim from critics and viewers.

Ex On The Beach, Are You The One and Dating Around have also featured LGBTQIA+ contestants searching for love.

Gypsy Rose Blanchard has revealed that she ‘experimented’ with her sexuality in prison.

The Munchhausen awareness activist and social media personality opened up about her identity in the second episode of Lifetime series Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up, which chronicles her journey “as a free woman, including reconnecting with family and finally living with her husband Ryan Anderson for the first time”.

“A big part of womanhood is learning to become comfortable with their sexuality, and for years I wasn’t,” she shared in the episode.

“For a long time, I questioned my own sexuality because [when] I was a teenager or a pre-teen, I felt like I was attracted to girls, and I got to experiment with that in prison.”

She added: “I think I’ve kissed more girls than I have guys.”

In 2015, Blanchard was sentenced to ten years in prison after being convicted of second-degree murder for the death of her mother, Dee Blanchard, who abused her daughter by fabricating illness and disabilities as a result of Munchausen syndrome by proxy.

Dee was stabbed to death by her daughter’s boyfriend at the time, Nicholas Godejohn, who had planned it with Blanchard. Godejohn was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison without parole.

The case received worldwide media attention, with Blanchard appearing on shows such as Dr Phil, Good Morning America, The View, This Morning and – for some reason – The Kardashians.

HBO also released the 2017 documentary Mommy Dead and Dearest, while the story was dramatised in the Hulu series The Act, starring Patricia Arquette as Dee and Joey King as Gypsy Rose.

Bretman Rock has opened up about how he met his new boyfriend, and the story is straight out of a romantic comedy.

Back in May, the former GAY TIMES cover star surprised his millions of followers by hard-launching his new relationship on TikTok and Instagram.

While Bretman refrained from tagging his dreamy partner, social media sleuths quickly identified him as Justice Fester.

Since that fateful day, fans have been eager to learn more about the makeup guru’s adorable new relationship.

Fortunately, during his recent appearance on Quenlin Blackwell’s YouTube channel, Bretman didn’t hold back, sharing all the heartwarming details about Justice and how fate brought them together.

“Do you believe in the red string or the string theory period? Like kind of like right person wrong time? Basically, I met this man six years ago [at a club]. I had no business being in the club,” he explained.

“And we saw each other, and I never really hit up on anybody, but I could tell that his friends were telling him to hit me up, but I was like, he just gives very hetero vibes, and I’m not about to get rejected by a hetero at the club.”

After he confirmed that Justice wasn’t straight –with the help of his cousin Miss K – Bretman admitted to making the first move.

“I slid in there and I was like, ‘What are we drinking?’ We took a shot, and then I put lip gloss on and he was like, ‘You’re making me self-conscious like I feel like my lips are dry,'” he continued.

Instagram / @bretmanrock

“So I grabbed his face, kissed him [and] then we went to grab dinner, and it was so quiet. Because it was 12 of us at one long table, and we were so blackout drunk, we probably got like five words out of each other.”

Bretman went on to say that things took another disappointing turn when a friend of his alleged that Justice was seeing someone else, seemingly shutting down his prospects.

“Fast forward to six years later, I was watching Fallout… and the ending was so overwhelming so I had to pause halfway through the ending. I went scrolling on TikTok, and I saw this man’s [profile],” he said.

“And I’m just staring at it, and I’m like, ‘Why does this man look so familiar?’ So I went to go to his Instagram page that [was] linked, and it [was] private. I was full-on ready to risk it all for this man. I don’t ever slide into anyone’s DMs.”

@notbretmanrock🩵🧡♬ original sound – Da One N Only

However, before shooting his shot, Bretman discovered that Justice had DMed him six years ago, apologizing for their awkward dinner and asking if they could go on a date.

“So I was like, ‘Is that date still on the table?’ and that very day we went on a date.”

Towards the end of his story, the social media influencer gushed about their instant chemistry, stating that it felt like no time had passed between them.

“I feel like we caught up from where we left off, but even though we literally left off from the 10 words that we said to each other,” he added.

Good news alert: I Kissed a Boy will be back for a second season!

On 21 May, the BBC confirmed that the groundbreaking series, which made history last year as the UK’s first-ever same-sex dating show, has been renewed for a second round – with Dannii Minogue to return to her role as Cupid.

“I am so excited that I’ll be back in Italy to play cupid. I can’t wait to meet the next cast when the Masseria doors open… There are so many diverse and important stories yet to tell,” Minogue said in a statement.

“And be sure that I’ll have the party started for a wonderful summer of love”.

Nasfim Haque, Head of Content for BBC Three, said: “I am thrilled to have this innovative, ground-breaking format return to BBC Three.

“I Kissed A Boy’s success is testament to the channel’s unwavering dedication to producing content that both entertains and educates”.

I Kissed a Boy received wide praise for its diverse and inclusive cast, its depiction queer male culture and soundtrack of pop bangers. And, of course, Minogue was lauded for her allyship, hosting abilities and impeccable wardrobe.

Its success led to the sapphic spin-off, I Kissed a Girlwhich is currently airing on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer. Like its flagship series, I Kissed a Girl has been met with acclaim for its casting and depiction of sapphic culture.

Both series introduce 10 contestants who will be matched up and, upon meeting each other for the first time, share a kiss.

Throughout the course of the series, the contestants will decide whether they want to stay with their current partner via a series of “kiss-offs” or match with someone new.

David Brindley, Executive Producer of Twofour, gushed about the I Kissed a franchise, describing it as a “joyful, uplifting and entertaining new take on the reality genre”.

“And the entire team at Twofour – who are so passionate about making this show –  can’t wait to see what this next series holds,” he continued, “aside from Dannii’s second-to-none fashion choices, they’re guaranteed.”

More good news incoming: both series are coming to the US later this year.

According to Deadline, the flagship series will be available on Hulu from 15 June, with a date for I Kissed a Girl to be confirmed.

I Kissed a Boy and I Kissed a Girl are both streaming in the UK on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer.
